Previous Seminar - 'Seeing is Believing'

Thank you to all the schools and Libraries who attended our Seeing is Believing seminar in May, 2008. We received an enormous amount of very positive and worthwhile feedback, a sample of which is included below.

A selection of some of the great feedback from our 2008 Seeing is Believing – Visual Literacy seminar.

The speakers were great and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Many thanks for a very informative day, it served to reaffirm what I already knew and that I am on the right track. (Gympie Regional Library Services)

I just wanted to convey my thanks in writing for organizing the seminar. It was really lovely to network with other T-L’s face -to- face and the speakers were all very interesting and full of insights for me. I am really glad I went! (Trinity Beach SS)

Thankyou for a great day. We rarely get insights such as these and this is part of the special value of such a day. We can never have too much of a good thing. Please organise another day like this again - it was wonderful. We travelled for 6 hours the day before to get to it and it was worth every kilometre !! (New England Girl’s School)

Thank you so much for the seminar, it is by far, one of the more enriching PD experiences I have participated in for some time!! Congratulations! The speakers were thought provoking, and all spoke to the theme of the connectivity of language, visuacy and creativity in the educational environment. Totally captivating!!! (Toowoomba Grammar School)

The Seeing is Believing seminar of 2008 was informative and interesting and we were presented with a plethora of ideas to pursue with our students. I would be very interested in future seminars. What a great chance to network with other professionals. (Guardian Angels School, Wynnum)

I've come back from the seminar bubbling with excitement about Visual Literacy. So much so that I've pulled many of the books featured off the shelf and plan to do a small presentation here for the staff. (Musgrave Hill SS)

I really enjoyed the seminar. I think what makes these days so great is listening to such creative and acclaimed authors / illustrators. I think the speakers were well tuned in to what we as T/Ls find practical and useful back at school. (St. Peter's Lutheran College)

The three of us who attended from Warwick West spent the whole 2 hour journey home on a professional high! We all felt re-energised by the day. Thank you. (Warwick West SS)
