Andrew Plant

Andrew is a scientific artist, or an artistic scientist, or maybe both.Andrew Plant

Trained as a zoologist at Melbourne University, he is now an author/illustrator, specialising in natural history, especially dinosaurs.
He has illustrated over 130 books in Australia, the USA, the UK, New Zealand and South Korea, and has written more than a dozen.
He has also directed, choreographed and designed 60 children's theatre productions, and created murals for schools and museums. He also works in gifted children extension programs and after school sessions.

Andrew's presentations are tailored to suit schools and libraries and can focus on either books or dinosaurs.

All presentations finish with an all-in drawing session (usually on dinosaurs!) Life-size dinosaur paintings, fossil casts and models are also used. Andrew's sessions are suitable for Grade 1 through to Year 8, with more specialised sessions available for older students.
