Goldie Alexander
Melbourne author, Goldie Alexander has 60 books published both here and overseas for readers of all ages, plus many short stories and articles. Her work has won national and international awards. She has taught Creative Writing for over a decade, lectures at Universities and Tertiary Institutions and speaks in libraries, clubs and schools. She feels fortunate to have such an absorbing career and enjoys talking about her books and sharing her writing experiences.
Her best known book for children is the story of the First Fleet:" My Australian Story: Surviving Sydney Cove". Her most recent fiction for children includes "Shape-Shifters" and "Bridging the Snowy" both aussieschoolbooks. Her two collections of short stories for children include "KillerVirus and other stories" and "My Horrible Cousins and other stories."
Her books for adults include: "Body and Soul": fiction set in 1938. And the two contemporary culinary murder mysteries "Unjust Desserts" and "UnKind Cut".
Her most recent nonfiction are the mega-books the "Health and Understanding" series. The story picture book "Lame Duck Protest" and illustrated by Michelle Gaudion will appear in September.
