John Marsden

John Marsden is one of Australia's most successful authors of teenage fiction, writing gritty stories that show life as it is.

He has:

• Sold over three million books world-wide
• Won awards in Europe, America and Australia
• Changed the literary landscape in Australia with books such as So Much to Tell You and the Tomorrow series.

In fact, his first novel So Much to Tell You (Walter McVitty Books) won the CBCA Book of the Year Award in 1988.

His first love however, is teaching and he now spends much of his time running his school (Candlebark) on his property Tye Estate near Hanging Rock in Victoria.

John will happily talk to audiences of teens and adults about education, his writing and his life.
