Kate Constable
Kate was born in Melbourne but spent most of her childhood in Papua New Guinea.
A voracious reader, she returned to Australia for her secondary education and eventually completed a degree in Arts/Law at Melbourne University.
Kate worked for a record company in the 1980s and 1990s, while beginning her life as a writer. She now combines writing with caring for her two young daughters.
Kate has written three fantasy novels for young adults. The Chanters of Tremaris series begins with The Singer of all Songs, followed by The Waterless Sea and The Tenth Power.
Kate is happy to speak about the influences on her writing of both books and film, how she became a writer and her life now she is writing full-time.
