Meredith Thomas
Meredith Thomas has been illustrating, painting and paper-sculpting for 15 years. She has illustrated over 60 books for the educational market, as well as writing and illustrating two of her own.
Meredith's specialty is paper-sculpture. Her book “Rainbows of the Sea” (Mondo, Publishing, USA) won a creative excellence award from the New York Dimensional Illustrators Association. Simplified versions of many of the creatures in “Rainbows” and “Paper Shapes” provide the basis for Meredith's paper-sculpture workshops.
Meredith's workshops are hands on and good fun! She provides a range of creature patterns, which can be constructed by children aged 5 and upwards. These have been enjoyed by big and small kids in Melbourne, Alice Springs, Darwin and Arnhem Land. Meredith also paints murals and does story-making workshops.
