Christine Anketell
Christine Anketell has enjoyed a long and successful career in the entertainment arena, having successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts at Sydney University, a Diploma in Acting and a Bachelor of Dramatic Art at N.I.D.A. and a Grad. Dip. Ed. at Melbourne University.
She has lectured in the Opera Studio of the Victorian College of the Arts, as well as lecturing in the Master classes in Performance at the Australian Academy of Music.
Working extensively in Drama in Education, Christine has co ordinated a number of successful theatre shows and workshops which toured the Outback and Metropolitan schools and community centre. She has directed Solution to Pollution with Cheltenham Primary School students in Victoria and The Happy Prince opera with Seacliff Primary School in South Australia.
Most recently, Christine was the acclaimed Director responsible for taking The Hobbit from the page to the stage, with the aid of nine puppeteers, clay, latex and mechanical devices. This production toured nationally.
Together with Hazel Edwards, Christine also co authored Stickybill: TV Duckstar (Banana Books) and The Cyber Farm (Banana Books). Both these novels were illustrated by Mini Goss.
As a freelance Writer and Director, Christine is keen to offer her services and expertise to companies, schools and organisations wanting to enhance their dramatic productions. The outcome provides enjoyment for all.
