Jennie Fraine
Jennie Fraine has always loved reading, writing and playing with words and is grateful to all her teachers who encouraged having a go, making mistakes so you’ve got something to learn from, and reading out loud anything you’ve written.
Her writings have been published in numerous literary and educational magazines and newspapers; she has published five booklets of poetry written with young and old at festivals and in schools and many other ‘poetry playing fields’; her first book – The Cast Changes – was runner-up in the FAW Anne Elder Award in 1986.
In her visits to schools and adult groups, Jennie loves to share her insights and experience in such a way that even the most reluctant writer can't wait to pick up a pen. There’s lots of fun, laughter, action, as well as powerful insights that last. Jennie leads the way by writing zany poetry on any topic suggested by her audience - on the spot and off the cuff.
